INFORMATION GATHERED AND TRACKED
The Company gathers the following types of information about users:
- Information users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to register for A Big To Do Event Events (“Event(s)”), receive our electronic newsletters, participate in message boards or Event{s), and from participation in polls and surveys, or other functionality offered through the Sites
- Information about how users access the Sites, including pages visited throughout Sites, features used, and terms users search

Usage tracking
The Company tracks user traffic patterns throughout the Sites. Every interaction is tracked based on the logged-in user. The Company also breaks down overall usage statistics according to a user’s domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).
The Company tracks and catalogs search terms User enters in our Search function, associating these terms with individual users. The Company uses aggregated tracking information to determine which areas of the Sites users prefer based on traffic to those areas. Additionally, aggregated tracking is used to determine how well each page performs overall. This helps to continuously build a better service for Users.
Cookies
In order to facilitate a User’s login to the Sites, a text file called a “cookie” is placed in the browser files of a User’s computer. The cookie itself does not contain personal information. It enables The Company to relate User access of the Sites to information that users have specifically and knowingly provided as well as information about users already in Company database. Cookies cannot read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. The Company uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above) and to facilitate the login process. Other third parties, such as vendors and business partners, may use cookies or other technologies on our Sites for similar purposes.
Cookies are required to use our Sites.

The Company does not recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals, as the Internet industry is currently still working toward defining exactly what DNT means, what it means to comply with DNT, and a common approach to responding to DNT.
